Dr. Hardiman has been a practitioner in the field of diversity and multicultural organizational development for over 25 years. She was co-founder and Vice-President of New Perspectives, Inc. a consulting firm based on Amherst, Massachusetts for 23 years. She has worked in the private and public sectors with a broad range of organizations such as DuPont, CIGNA, Stanley Tools, Aetna, Planned Parenthood, The American Red Cross, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and numerous colleges and universities.

The focus of Dr. Hardiman's work is on multicultural organization development. She has guided client organizations through long-term change efforts focused on increasing diversity and creating just and equitable organizations. She has conducted numerous training programs, consulted with managers at all levels in organizations and has designed curriculum that is utilized by internal training departments in several large corporations and non-profit organizations.

She is also the co-creator of the Multicultural Organization Development Assessment tool, which is used to assess an organization's stage of development on the path to diversity and equity. Prior to founding New Perspectives, Dr. Hardiman worked as a manager and staff developer in Corrections in Massachusetts and New York. She is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Organization and Management, Antioch/New England Graduate School, Keene, New Hampshire and at the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Dr. Hardiman holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She also holds an M.Ed in Organizational Development, and an Ed.D in Psychological Education from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Hardiman has published articles on multicultural organizations, managing diversity in the workplace, collaborative approaches to organizational change in large systems, racial identity development, and facilitating dialogue groups on diversity.
